This year was a great year both personally and professionally.
My kids are growing so fast. My daughter started kindergarten this year. She really enjoys school and has turned into quite the reader. She also loves her dance classes at Yuma Ballet Academy. My little guy enjoys going to preschool and being my little photo assistant on his days off. We are excited that we will finally be moving into our new home at the end of this month. It has been a long time coming and it will be nice to finally unpack all of the boxes instead of living out of them.
My business has grown again this year! I feel so lucky to have such wonderful clients. I have many that come back year after year. It is always nice to see their families grow. I also love to document all the special moments in people’s lives. This year I got to photograph a few engagements, a couple weddings and lots of newborns. A big “thank you” goes out to Chris of Chris Bermudo Photography for being a second shooter at a Yuma Country Club wedding again this year. It is always great to work with him and his work is awesome. I also had many family sessions this year of both former clients and brand new ones. I love meeting new families and I hope to see them again in 2013. I got a chance to do some commercial work for Dupont and Goddess Athletic Wear. I enjoyed working on projects with both of these companies.
I attended WPPI again this year with my good friend and fellow photographer Tawnee Miller of Serendipity Photography by Tawnee. It is always a fun time and we learn so much. This year while we were in Las Vegas we attended Charleton Churchill’s photography workshop. If you haven’t seen his work I suggest you check it out. He is so talented and such a down to earth person. We learned so much from him and I am excited that I will be attending another workshop this year where he will be a mentor.
