Melissa and Joey’s wedding was simply beautiful. I was so glad I got to be a part of it. Both the ceremony and reception were held at the Quechan Casino Resort in Winterhaven, CA right outside of Yuma, AZ.
I met the girls in one of the rooms where they were getting ready for the day. They are such a fun group. Lee Keoni came by to give the bridal party a make up lesson and he also did Melissa’s makeup. He did an amazing job with both. Liz Aleman Clark of Hairography Salon did a fabulous job with Melissa’s hair. She styled both Melissa’s Mom’s and Joey’s Mom’s hair too.

I got some images of the girls before the ceremony. 
Chris Bermudo of Chris Bermudo Photography was my second shooter for the day. He is an awesomely talented photographer! I love this image he got of the guys in the desert. 
Laurie Davis of Circle the Date Events planned the entire day. She did an amazing job! I loved the atmosphere she created during the ceremony. The reception was incredible too.
After the ceremony I took some photos of the wedding party out by the pool.
Here are my favorites from the day. These two images were taken with window light to backlight Melissa and Joey.
For these images I used my portable studio lighting. We did a quick set up inside because it was beginning to get pretty windy outside.
The cake was created by the very talented Susie King of Piece a Cake by Susie. The design was inspired by Melissa’s dress.
The father/daughter dance was a moving moment during the reception. 
From the look of the packed dance floor I think everyone had a great time.
