June 2nd proved to be a beautiful day for Taylor and Aaron’s wedding at Yuma Golf and Country Club. I was so glad I got to be a part of their special day.
We began the day at Ambiance Salon where Taylor got her hair done. Then it was off to her parent’s house to get ready. Taylor was as calm as could be while she applied some lip gloss. 
Talyor’s dress was simply beautiful and fit her perfectly. Her sister helped her adjust her dress and put on her shoes. 
I love this moment where Taylor’s mom helped her with her veil and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Before we left we took some bridal portraits of Taylor. Taylor’s dog Tink is a big part of her life and so we got some photos of her in her little purple dress. 
Taylor and Aaron wanted to incorporate their love of all things literary into their wedding day. What better place to take their first look photos than at the Yuma Main Library? A first look is when a bride and groom see each other before the ceremony. I think these photos can be so much more emotional and intimate than seeing each other at the ceremony. Aaron had his back to Taylor at the top of the stairs while she slowly walked across the bottom floor of the library and climbed the stairs to meet him. I think every one that was watching got a little teary eyed.

The ceremony and reception were both held at Yuma Golf and Country Club. The outdoor ceremony was gorgeous! 
Love this image I got of the kiss. The misters added to the drama of the moment. 
Laurie Davis of Circle the Date Events planned the entire day and did a wonderful job. The cake was made by the fabuously talented Susie King of Piece A Cake by Susie. If you look closely there is a quill, an apple and various animal silhouettes. They are symbols for Aaron’s profession as a teacher and Taylor is going to school to become a veterinarian.
