Siblings: Yuma Photographer

Annie contacted me because she wanted to have photos taken with her brothers as a gift for her mom.I thought it was such a fantastic idea. Often we have lots of photos of siblings together when they are small, but as they grow older there are less and less. I think it is a thoughtful gift for a parent to receive.

We started the session on a beautiful spring evening at Wetlands Park. This time of year is so beautiful because the cottonwood trees shed white “cotton” everywhere in that area. It makes for a gorgeous background for portraits. Annie asked if she could bring a antique chair that had been in the family for generations. I loved the idea of using something from the family in the images. After we left the park we headed to the home that Annie’s grandfather had built. It is a beautiful home with so much character. I loved photographing there and the fact that it is a home that has been in the family for generations added to the portraits. We took some photos inside the house as well as in the courtyard and on the golf course that the home overlooks. I love how the images came out. I think these images will be cherished for years to come.

These are so great! Hope my kids take some initiative like that and get me cute pics when they’re older! Great job as usual, Kim!
