Photos from Tucson

Once upon a time I lived in Tucson. I am kinda sentimental about that place because it is where I met my husband. I haven’t been back for a while and I am itching to go back. Not only for the memories, but to retrace my steps to photograph all that Tucson has to offer. So if you get the chance to go there, take it and your camera. Here are some photos I took while I was a photography student at the University of Arizona.

These are two missions located south of Tucson. On the right is the San Xavier del Bac Mission and on the left is the Tumacacori Mission. They were taken with 35mm black & white film. I have since tweaked them a bit in Photoshop to give them an aged feel.

Here are a couple more from these missions. The top is Tumacacori and the bottom is San Xavier del Bac.

  1. Great images! I like the selective focus on the the image on the left.

  2. Hi Kim, great blog! These black and whites are great, I love the borders and the old feeling they have.

Gorgeous pics. I read an article about this church in the newspaper yesterday. Sounds like a fun place to visit.

These are beautiful! Someday I’ll go to Tuscan 🙂
