I had so much fun taking photos of the Ott family! They are such a beautiful family and just so fun to be around. We decided to take the photos by the Gila River. I had taken some family and maternity photos there a few weeks before and I just loved the scenery. About a week before the session I got a call from a friend of mine. She told me that the grass had been all ripped out and in its place was, well, lots of dirt. I went to the location the very next day. At first when I saw that the beautiful green grass was gone I was pretty upset. But then I realized that it could totally work if the Ott’s didn’t mind wading through a ton of ankle deep dirt. I am so glad they were game. So off we went on our adventure…
I had a backup plan just in case the river pictures didn’t work. So we took some in a wash near the river first. 
The next image is one of my favs of the family all together. Gorgeous! 
Here are some of the little man. He was a hard one to get to smile so I had to resort to the funny faces first.
Her mom warned me that she was a model in training. What a pretty girl and she has all the poses down too. 
Here are a couple I took by the river. It was muddy and the kids were happy to jump around in it. I was glad that they didn’t seem too dirty when they left. Love this one I got of their parents too.
Here is an outtake from the session. We were walking back to the car and I just had to take this shot. You can see all the dirt we had to walk through. Glad they didn’t mind 🙂
