I simply love Arizona weddings, but when Clarissa and Kevin asked me to be their photographer for their Alpine, California wedding I was so excited. It would be much different from the desert weddings I am used to covering that’s for sure. And when they told me the ceremony and reception would all be held at a mountain-top camp ground I was even more in love with the idea of photographing their special day. It does take a lot of work to make a wedding in the middle of the woods happen. Everything needs to be brought in and set up. Kevin and Clarissa did an amazing job making this wedding a sucess. The ceremony location was beautiful and the reception set-up was gorgeous. I was so impressed with everything. The day was perfect and it was topped off with a campfire of course.
Alexis is a beautiful girl inside and out ! I had such a wonderful time with her during her senior session. We started her session at the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma where her father is stationed. We even got to use the plane he flies as a backdrop in some of the photos we took there. How cool is that? Then we headed to one of Yuma’s trade mark fields for some gorgeous sunset images. The sky was simply beautiful that night. Alexis brought two dresses and she rocked both looks. I loved how both the red and the blue dress were complimented by the amazing colors in the sky. I had so many favorites from this session that it was hard to narrow it down.
I am so happy I got the chance to capture this special time for the Padilla family. They have since had a beautiful baby girl. She is the perfect addition to this wonderful family. I took them to one of my favorite spots by the Gila River. I just love all the green that is around the water. It is a beautiful place for sunset images and I love how the night images came out too. So glad they were troopers about all the bugs, but I think the results were worth it. Here are a few of my favorites of this gorgeous family.
Nicole contacted me shortly before her high school graduation. Even though we weren’t able to schedule her session until after graduation she still wanted a senior session. I am so glad I got the chance to take her senior portraits. She is so sweet and super photogenic! We started around downtown Yuma and later went over to West Wetlands Park for a different look. Nicole is interested in photography and has started her own business. She is a very talented photographer already and it was so nice to talk photography with her. You can check out her work on her facebook page here. She also played trumpet in high school so we did some images with her instrument. It was pretty dark in the woods when we took those and the mosquitos were starting to get bad, but Nicole was a trooper. I love the images we got of her at night! Seriously, there were so many good ones that she had a hard time choosing and ended up purchasing more images than the package included. Here are just a few of my favorites from Nicole’s session.
Karley’s senior session was simply amazing! She is fun, laid back and super photogenic. When she said she wanted to incorporate her horses into her senior session I was beyond excited. She has been riding and barrel racing for a number of years so it was important to include them. Her horse, Zack, was the star of most of the photos. He was pretty calm and seemed like he enjoyed posing for the camera. Karley chose to use a family friend’s farm as the location and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Here are some of my favorites from her senior portrait session.
