I often get inquires about modeling portfolio sessions. Aspiring models often need photos to show agencies or to improve upon their modeling portfolio. I like to meet with the client before hand to see what they are needing. Often an agency will request certain images and I need to be aware of what they are looking for. I also help the client choose clothing and talk about hair and makeup so we are on the same page and have a plan for the session.
Reagan was looking to take photos that the agency wanted and expand on her portfolio. We started in the studio for some “polaroid shots” which are what the agency requested. They are images in a plain outfit, with a plain background and not a lot of makeup. We took those images first and then we took some other images with different outfits. I changed up the lighting from “commercial” lighting to some more dramatic artsy lighting depending on the outfit choice. After the studio session we went to West Wetlands Park and took some images of Reagan in a few different outfits. We did a dress by the river, a dress by the bougainvillea and some fun lifestyle images of her in workout clothes. Lastly we took some near one of the brick walls in downtown Yuma. Reagan is a natural in front of the camera and I know she will go far in a career in modeling. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for her.
