First of all, I’m going to just say Elena is gorgeous and has amazing style. Secondly, I always love when clients come to me with their own idea or look they are going for. Elena is really into retro style and wanted that look for her senior portraits. We met before the session and planned out outfits and location. We looked at old magazine images. Elena had some favorite images that we drew inspiration from. I never like to copy another photographer’s work, but I may use elements or a certain pose to create a certain look and feel. Elena brought some props to the studio that were perfect for what she wanted. She brought a floral headpiece that her grandmother made just for her. I loved the way it photographed!
She brought dressing room mirror that we set up in the studio to make it look as though she was at home getting ready.
Elena is super talented, she did her own hair and makeup. She did an amazing job! We took some on my studio couch with a couple different retro outfits.
After the studio we headed to a grove to take some images of her and an old Mustang that was owned by a family friend. Her polka-dot dress complimented the bright red car perfectly.
These sunset images at the end of her session were a perfect way to end the day.
