Skylar 2017 senior: Yuma Photographer

Skylar and her mom came to me with a few ideas for her senior portrait session. Skylar wanted to incorporate her many animals that are important in her life. Her mom wanted to make sure to use a swing-set that her grandfather built for some of the photos. When I got to their home in Dome Valley I immediately saw why they wanted Skylar’s senior portraits taken there. The fields were amazingly beautiful. There were incredible views of the mountains and it was so peaceful out there. We started her session on the old swing-set in their backyard. I loved the beautiful view of the mountain in the background. Next we took some photos with her cat that she plans to bring with her when she leaves for college. The cat wasn’t really a fan of the photo session, but we still managed to get a couple adorable images with him. Skylar has a very nice, blue truck so of course we had to take some with her vehicle. We also took quiet a few in the fields near their home. These were some of my favorites. Skylar wanted some portraits with her cows as well. I don’t know much about cattle, but I have to say they were a lot of fun to photograph. They were a little challenging as one of them did not want to stand where we put her. At the end of the session though I think we captured some nice photos and Skylar looked adorable in her striped dress. It was hard for her to keep up with the cows in heels, but she did awesome. Whenever I photograph someone I try to capture their personality and I think I did that with this session. Skylar is beautiful, sweet and fun and I think these photos show that.
