I had taken Annette’s sister’s senior portraits a few years ago and it was one of my favorite sessions. This year it was Annette’s turn to graduate. We met a couple weeks before to plan out her session. She wanted a desert landscape with the mountains so I suggested we headed to one of my favorite spots in the Yuma foothills area.
We started near a wash area, being really careful to watch for rattlesnakes and other desert critters. I found a small patch of foliage that was a golden color. I knew it would be perfect for her first outfit!
We continued in the wash area and got more images in her first outfit.
I love to use this road because its both symbolic and gives the photo a cool leading line. This one of Annette in her cap & gown was a fun image to shoot.
I loved this gorgeous white dress with bright pink flower pattern that Annette choose as her last outfit. We found some beautiful desert flowers to complement her dress.
As the sun set opposite the mountain we moved across the street to get the mountain landscape in the background. These are some of my favorites from the evening.
My clients are amazing and I loved every minute of this session!
